The final resting place of St. Paul is here in the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls (San Paolo fuori le Mura). The earliest structure over the place of burial was created under Constantine in 324. Since, then, however, the church was rebuilt, and, following a devastating fire in 1823, rebuilt yet another time.
With that said, there seems to be little disagreement over this being the burial site of Paul. Decorations of the life of Paul are throughout the church. It is the second largest church in Rome, and third in prominence, following St. Peter's and San Giovanni in Laterano.
