This little Fountain of Books is located in a wonderfully rich part of the city, and is easy to overlook. It borders the Piazza Navona, and is one block away from the Church of San Luigi dei Francesi, which houses works of Caravaggio. It is connected to the wall of the state archives, thus, the focus on books. And it is part of the beautiful church of Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza, designed by the Baroque master Borromini.
This fountain is made of travertine marble, which is ubiquitous in Rome, and is dedicated to the Senate and People of Rome (SPQR).
