One of the most fascinating types of churches in Rome are the titular churches — churches that were once house-churches, and still today have a “title” assigned to a cardinal. Think of it as holding title to property. Santa Prassede is one of these. It was once the home of St. Praxedes, daughter of Pudens, who is mentioned in 2 Timothy 4:21 — where Paul asks Timothy to come quickly, bringing his cloak and writing materials, saying “Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brothers send greetings.”
This church is absolutely sumptuous with mosaic and was rebuilt under Pope Paschal I in the early 800s. It also contains a portion of the column to which Christ was bound during the flagellation. This is number one on my list the next time I return to Rome.

Yes!
If there is time.
It doesn't really call to me.
